Entrant's Invitation
The Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance will bring to Northern California an event inspired by classic European auto shows. In the early years of the motor industry, after cars had developed reliability, auto makers began to focus on style. The first generation of designers were born, and shows called Concours d'Elegance were created. Cars in these shows were judged solely on elegance of concept and design. At a typical American auto show of today, cars are evaluated mostly on condition. The Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance will combine the European and American models of car shows by evaluating individual classes on interior, exterior, engine and chassis then selecting the Best in Show awards based on elegance and design. The Concour will use judging standards similar to those of the Prestigious Concour at Amelia Island. Individual marque classes may be judged by marque class rules.
You are invited to submit your automobile for consideration as an entrant in the second Annual Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance at the Marin County Fairgrounds, Marin Civic Center, Sunday, May 16, 2010.
Please print the form (it cannot be entered online), fill it in, and mail it, along with a photo of your car and a check made out to, "Hospice by the Bay" to the address below.
