Founded in 1975 by a group of compassionate volunteers with a vision for helping those facing terminal illness, Hospice By The Bay is the second oldest hospice provider in the United States and the first on the West Coast. As a non-profit, community-based program, Hospice By The Bay is dedicated to providing the highest quality hospice and palliative care services to patients and families coping with serious illness, regardless of their ability to pay. Hospice By The Bay also serves people whose lives have been altered by the loss of a loved one through its community grief support program.  Our skilled team of nurses, medical directors, social workers, spiritual counselors, home health aides, volunteers, and grief counselors offer patients and families the medical, practical, emotional, and spiritual support so essential during this difficult time.
